We Are Flourishing Together!

Thank you to everyone who joined the 2024 African Road ‘Belong Flourish Together’ mini-Gala Fundraiser in Portola Valley, California, on Sunday, May 5th. This event was held in partnership with Valley Presbyterian Church in support of African Road and the work of Changemakers Evariste Ndikumana.

Over 100 guests gathered in person to learn more about Changemaker Evariste Ndikumana’s work to advocate for the indigenous Batwa people of Burundi. Your presence, care, and support was felt by Evariste and Grace Ndikumana, the volunteers, and the entire gala team.

Thanks to the generosity of friends, donors, and matching funds – together, we have raised over $80,000! Thank you to each one who joined in. Special thank you to our Sponsors (who you can find below)!

For the local African Road community in Oregon, mark your calendars for Sunday, September 29th for a special, new fundraising event – the African Road Family Festival 5k Walk/Run at Champoeg State Park.

Come with your friends and family, participate in a 5k walk/run, explore outdoor Learning Station exhibits, purchase handcrafted items from the iconic African Road Marketplace, bid on exciting silent auction items, enjoy food and drink, play lawn games, and learn more about the work of African Road and the Changemakers.

More information coming soon!
